Calculator Graphic Industry – Stamp Printing Production (Mechelen)
bpost is always on the move. We create an environment for our people filled with challenging projects, inspiring collaborations, and the latest technologies, offering attractive job opportunities and training programs for everyone. At bpost, it’s no longer just about letters and parcels. Today, we are a leading player in logistics and e-commerce, with activities reaching across the globe.
But did you know that we’ve been printing our own stamps for more than 150 years in our in-house printing facility in Mechelen? It’s a unique place where tradition meets technology — and we are now looking for a new Project Lead with graphic expertise to help us maintain our exceptional quality standards.
Main responsibilities
You will be a key player in our production department in Mechelen, focusing on digital prepress, cost calculation, color management, and monitoring the entire production flow — from quotation to dispatch.
Your tasks include:
- Providing graphic project support through ERP software such as MultiPress
- Preparing quotations, calculating costs, and monitoring profit margins
- Following up and coordinating the entire production flow, including planning, preparation, follow-up, and postproduction
- Technical preparation of print jobs and plate production
- Graphic work using programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Managing the digital press in accordance with ISO color standards
- Analyzing results and making adjustments based on post-calculations
What makes this place so unique?
- Our Mechelen printing facility produces around 100 million stamps each year, a significant portion of which is for international postal operators such as Portugal, Luxembourg, Gibraltar, and even the Vatican
- It’s a place where history and innovation truly come together — we’ve experimented with stamps that have taste and scent (like chocolate!), 3D effects, and even Augmented Reality
- The stamp printing house has existed since 1865 and is still considered one of the most specialized printing facilities in Western Europe
Your profile
- You have education or experience in graphic techniques, color management, and/or prepress
- You are proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and familiar with an ERP system (MultiPress experience is a major plus)
- You work with precision, have a strong eye for detail, and respect high-quality standards (philatelists can be very demanding!)
- You enjoy a variety of tasks and know how to manage technical projects from quotation to delivery
- You are fluent in Dutch and/or French and have an excellent command of the second national language and English
- You are capable of overseeing the entire production flow and making adjustments when necessary
What we offer
We offer you an exciting full-time position at our printing facility in Mechelen, where you will have the opportunity to work on prestigious — often international — projects. You will join a friendly and open-minded team in an environment that encourages growth and development.

- A competitive monthly salary
