As Senior Preparation Manager at NBX, the largest Sorting Center of bpost in Belgium, you take ownership of the full operational flow of the facility. You ensure that people, processes and volumes move seamlessly through our network so customers receive the quality and reliability they expect.

You lead large teams, steer high‑volume operations and collaborate closely with the teams of Distribution, Network & Flow and other Sorting Centers. You are also a key driver of transformation, implementing new technologies, new ways of working and major strategic projects that shape the future of our sorting operations.

Your Mission

• Lead and optimize all Preparation activities at NBX: Capacity Planning, Intake, Sorting, & Transport
• Ensure smooth end‑to‑end operations, minimizing delayed volumes
• Translate KPIs into daily operational performance and continuous improvement actions
• Manage staffing and capacity planning in close alignment with central planning teams
• Together with your staff you coach, develop and engage large operational teams and frontline leaders
• Ensure safe, compliant and motivating working conditions
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement through all levels of the organization
• Oversee the Preparation budget of the facility, and ensure cost‑effective performance
• Build strong partnerships with social partners, internal stakeholders and key clients
• Lead major operational and transformation projects at facility and national level

• Master’s degree with 12+ years’ experience in managing large operational or production environments
• Strong background in planning, performance management and complex process operations
• Experienced leader of large teams (hundreds of FTE), with proven impact on engagement and development
• Skilled in project management and change management
• Fluent in French and Dutch, with solid English
• Analytical mindset, strong decision‑maker, and excellent communicator — including in social dialogue
• Comfortable navigating a fast‑moving environment where network thinking and cross‑regional collaboration are essential
