Finance Process Expert – Order to Cash & Business Support
What will you do?
1. Analyze end-to-end processes of medium complexity within the area of expertise for which they are responsible, and formulate proposals to improve them as well as the related procedures. Develop and implement procedural changes and monitor the quality of their execution to ensure optimal support for the team and the business.
2. Supervise and support the management of transactional files within their area of expertise in order to meet business needs.
Contribute to the development of a general control framework for procedures to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
3. Independently implement internal improvement projects to increase team efficiency.
4. Monitor laws and regulations and ensure their correct implementation within their domain in order to comply with current quality standards and legal requirements.
5. Participate in the implementation, management, and improvement of IT tools and applications to ensure the team has adequate and high-performing systems, and act as a key user for one or more applications.
6. Analyze new trends and developments in their area of expertise and translate them into the team’s environment (with potential impact on other departments within bpost) to achieve best-in-practice processes and procedures.
7. Facilitate and coordinate internal communication across the different departments of bpost within their area of expertise to ensure transparent and consistent communication flows.
8. Deliver internal training sessions (e.g. on new procedures or new tools) to ensure that relevant stakeholders have accurate and up-to-date information and instructions
Who are you?
- Master’s degree
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
- Advanced knowledge of the second language and good command of English
- Technical knowledge required for the role:
- In-depth knowledge of legislation and regulations related to the relevant area of expertise
- In-depth knowledge across several domains, such as accounting (BGAAP) and financial applications, including ERP systems and software
- Basic knowledge of IAS/IFRS standards
- In-depth knowledge of standard office applications and specific IT applications
- Solid expertise in at least one area of specialization
- Basic knowledge of internal control
- Good knowledge of project follow-up and process management
