Real Estate Assets Manager
What will you do?
As Real Estate Assets Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the multi-year real estate strategy for our international 3PL subsidiaries and major contracts within Belgium. You will lead a small, high-impact team, drive integration of subsidiary portfolios, and personally manage the negotiation and renewal of our most significant contracts. Your mission: optimize our real estate assets to deliver value, efficiency, and innovation in a fast-evolving, multicultural environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic Portfolio Integration: Lead the integration of real estate portfolios across European subsidiaries (e.g., Staci, Active Ants, Radial EU), ensuring data consolidation, governance, and best practices. Support and coach team members in complex negotiations and to successfully deliver their projects.
- Major Contract Negotiation: Personally manage and renegotiate the largest and most impactful contracts for bpost SA, leveraging your expertise to secure optimal terms and anticipate market trends.
- Governance & Reporting: Establish and formalize governance frameworks for subsidiaries, clarifying decision rights and ensuring consistent, high-quality reporting (e.g., quarterly reviews with senior stakeholders). Drive the adoption of digital tools for contract and data management.
- Team Leadership & Development: Provide hands-on guidance and structure to a small team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Support team members with clear priorities, coaching, and performance follow-up.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the administrative, financial, and legal management of all properties in scope. Ensure robust processes for contract archiving, rent tracking, and budget monitoring. Initiate and lead projects to optimize infrastructure usage and cost efficiency.
Who are you?
- Master’s degree and at least 8 years’ experience in real estate asset management, ideally with exposure to international portfolios and multicultural environments.
- Proven track record in complex contract negotiation and portfolio integration.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to consolidate data and drive reporting excellence.
- Experience in governance, stakeholder management, and multicultural environments.
- Fluent in French, Dutch and English.
- Hands-on, energetic leader with the ability to provide structure, guidance, and motivation to a small team.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, comfortable engaging with senior management and external partners.
