Senior Manager Strategy & Transformation
What will you do?
bpostgroup is Belgium’s leading postal operator and a growing parcel & omni-commerce logistics partner in Europe, North America, and Asia. Our ambition is to become a regional and digital expert in parcel-sized logistics by 2029. With over 40,000 employees worldwide, we connect consumers, businesses, and governments by delivering mail and parcels to millions of doorsteps and providing e-commerce logistics services.
Under the leadership of our Group CEO, Chris Peeters, and the Executive Committee, bpostgroup has launched an ambitious company-wide transformation program. The Group Strategy & Transformation Office, led by Willem Vanlaer, is responsible for designing and delivering this strategic transformation agenda.
We are building a team of experienced professionals to lead and support high-impact strategic transformation programs: #Reshape2029. The Senior Manager Strategy & Transformation plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing these programs, ensuring sustainable change and strategic alignment across the organization.
Your Mission
As a Senior Manager within the Group Strategy & Transformation Office, you will be entrusted with leading strategic transformation initiatives that span across business units and corporate functions. These initiatives include:
- Development of new business offerings
- Post-merger integration
- Operational excellence and quality improvement
- Large-scale digitalization and process redesign
- Customer-centricity and agile organizational transformation
You will typically be assigned to one or more strategic transformation programs for a period of 6–18 months.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Strategic Transformation Programs
- Co-own strategic transformation projects with business sponsors, ensuring delivery of strategic transformation programs.
- Define, structure, and execute transformation activities in close collaboration with business leaders.
- Actively participate in steering committees and provide strategic input.
- Mobilize stakeholders across the group and ensure initiative owners deliver on transformation goals.
- Conduct detailed analyses and content work to support decision-making and execution.
- Share best practices across initiatives and mitigate risks and interdependencies.
2. Develop and Manage Initiative Portfolios
- Engage cross-functional teams and foster effective collaboration.
- Build initiative portfolios aligned with strategic priorities.
- Define KPIs to measure progress and value creation.
- Identify synergies and integration opportunities across initiatives.
3. Monitor and Report on Progress of Transformation
- Track program and initiative performance across budget, benefits, timeline, and quality.
- Monitor KPIs and challenge implementation where needed.
- Escalate roadblocks and risks to management and the Executive Committee.
- Provide transparent reporting and prepare presentations for steering committees and leadership.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Change Leadership
- Build strong relationships with initiative owners and key stakeholders.
- Support change management efforts in collaboration with the Head of Change.
- Align with functional and business heads to ensure smooth execution and adoption.
- Ensure high visibility and sponsorship from the Executive Committee
5. Team Development
- Coach and mentor Transformation Experts and Associates assigned to your programs.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Who are you?
You are a seasoned strategic project or program manager with a strong analytical mindset and a pragmatic, agile approach. You bring:
- A Master’s degree
- 5–8 years of leadership experience in large-scale program management, ideally in strategy consulting or corporate transformation
- Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills
- A collaborative mindset and ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a solution-oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in coaching and mentoring teams
- Fluency in Dutch, French, and English
