Accessibility statement
Bpost is committed to ensure digital accessibility of its website and mobile applications, in accordance with the EU Web Accessibility Directive regarding the accessibility of websites and mobile applications for applications of institutions compensated by the Belgian government.
This statement applies to the website https://www.career.bpost.be and doesn’t include its subdomains.
Conformance status
The European Norm for digital accessibility (EN 301 549) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
At the moment of writing, our application is partially conformant with EN 301 549 & WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
This statement has been updated on October 3th 2025 and is based on an external accessibility audit carried out by Eleven Ways on August 5th 2025. This simplified audit was performed by an IAAP certified accessibility expert.
Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of our website, accessibility issues have been observed on several pages. Those include :
1. Structure and navigation
- iframe does not contain the right attributes (15)
- Pages don’t have a clear headings’ structure (72)
- Select can be simplified (73)
- Page titles do not describe the subject of the page (77)
2. Keyboard and assistive technology support
- ARIA attributes are not used appropriately on some custom widgets (1, 70)
- Some non-active elements receive keyboard focus (4, 66)
- The focus order is not logical (8 )
- Some interactive elements don’t have a visible focus indicator (64)
- The language picker is not operable with keyboard (63)
- Accordions are not operable with keyboard (68)
- iframe is not accessible via keyboard (67)
- Focus indicator is not visible on zoomed view (75)
- The keyboard focus should be trapped in an expanded menu (76)
- Screen readers do not receive all feedback messages (69)
3. Visual design
- The text contrast is not sufficient on several text elements & focus indicator (12, 65, 71)
- Links do not stand out from surrounding text (78)
4. Forms and error handling
- Some form elements have no labels (2)
- Some form elements are not associated with their visible label (3)
- No auto complete on input fields (13)
5. Images and non-text content
- Some images are missing a text alternative or provide a non-descriptive text alternative (10, 22)
There is no alternative provided yet for those limitations. Remediating those issues is our priority. Please contact us if you find an issue not listed above.
Improvement plan
Remediation of the accessibility issues reported above has started and will be the object of our continuous efforts until compliance is met.
