National Platform Operations Manager
What will you do?
- You are responsible for the operational leadership and management of the various logistics platforms within “Logistics Platform Distribution”, which are responsible for the delivery and collection of goods.
- This network is currently being built, combining an existing collection network with a new delivery network for parcels and other goods, with a focus on multiple goods per address, such as the OOH (out of home) network with deliveries to parcel points and parcel lockers (bbox).
- You are responsible for the operational integration of the operational units of subsidiaries and acquisitions.
- Since this is a network under development, a large part of the tasks will consist of designing and developing how such a new logistics platform will operate, building the management structure, clarifying roles and responsibilities, drafting HR rules in collaboration with HR, managing the network with dynamic rounds, daily planning, etc.
- You are responsible for operational planning and staffing with a view to a future-proof organization, with specific attention to flexibility in relation to peak and off-peak periods.
- You organize and optimize collection and distribution activities.
- You maintain an active dialogue with social partners.
- You define objectives and KPIs for the logistics platforms in terms of customer orientation, efficiency, quality, cost, and employee satisfaction, and closely monitor these in collaboration with the Logistics Platform Managers.
- You closely monitor the performance, budgets, and quality objectives of your teams.
- You work closely with operational managers from other departments (Sorting, Fine-Meshed Distribution, Transport) to ensure correct end-to-end operations.
Who are you?
- You have at least 10 years of relevant experience in managing a large-scale operational entity, ideally within parcel delivery and collection at (inter)national level.
- Experience and knowledge of distribution and/or sorting and transport processes are a plus.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are strong in translating conceptual ideas into the operational domain.
- You have experience in project management and transformation processes, and in converting concepts into operational execution.
- You have experience managing relationships with union partners.
- You communicate fluently in French, Dutch, and English.
