Financial Controller Consolidation
What will you do?
Bnode is an international quoted group based in Brussels with a more than 80 affiliates in Europe and beyond.
We're looking for a controller and consolidation expert to join the Bnode Accounting & Financial Control and Consolidation team (15 people) at the Brussels headquarters of the group and strengthen the consolidation and finance competences.
As a consolidation expert – together with the consolidation team - you will play a key role in the preparation of monthly IFRS consolidated figures and external reporting (stock market) in collaboration with the financial controllers and investor relations team.
3 or more years of experience in a consolidation role or 3 to 5 years of experience as an auditor and willing to immerse yourself into IFRS, consolidation and reporting?

Your mission:
- Preparation monthly IFRS consolidated statements
You will be accountable for the monthly consolidation at group level (+/- 80 legal entities in +/- 17 countries) using the Oracle EPM tool. You will manage the intercompany reconciliation process, account for acquisitions (including purchase price accounting), divestments and assist with the reporting packages in order to establish the cash flow statement.
- System (consolidation tool) development
You will actively contribute together with the ICT team to the further development of the Oracle EPM consolidation tool (incl. narrative reporting, new functionalities, advanced analytics, AI,…) and the reporting environment in the context of the group transformation.
- External reporting
For the stock exchange reporting - together with the team of financial controllers and investor relations department - you will assist in preparing the Bnode annual and quarterly reports, including the auditor’s review. Furthermore you will liaise with the ESG team to align financial and non-financial information (CSRD, EU taxonomy,…) and prepare/review reporting to various external bodies e.g. NBB.
- Monitoring
In cooperation with the group financial controllers, you will share clear instructions to the different subsidiaries, provide support to the reporting entities, maintain and develop the group accounting policies and manual.
You will also advice on onboarding subsidiaries on Oracle ERP.
Who are you?
- Experience with a consolidation tool is an asset
- You have a contagious passion for finance and your Master's degree in economics, business administration proves this
- You pride yourself to improve the financial reporting of a quoted company and make sure that it continues to meet the regulatory standards
- You like to have impact: in this position you have a high exposure to internal (C-level) and external stakeholders
- Three to five years as an auditor is perfect
- Good (theoretical) knowledge of consolidation, basic knowledge IFRS (willing to invest in this knowledge in combination with on the job learning and trainings provided)
- Solid knowledge of Dutch or French and good knowledge of English
