Compliance Project Manager Building Operations
What will you do?
Bpost has a large and dynamic network of buildings. Our real estate portfolio is constantly evolving: buildings are acquired and sold, secured, maintained, cleaned, and renovated. In addition, we carry out numerous technical projects, and installations are continuously upgraded and optimized.
For all these activities, the Service to Operations department (S2O) must comply with strict legal and safety requirements — across more than 850 buildings. This requires strong coordination and structure.
This is where you come in. As a Compliance Project Manager Building Operations, you act as the bridge between management and on-the-ground operations. Thanks to your strong project management skills and compliance expertise, you ensure that all projects and processes comply with the applicable laws and regulations. You report on this to management and ensure that compliance is effectively embedded.
You are the project lead for compliance within building operations.
You ensure that legal obligations do not remain theoretical but are translated into concrete projects, processes, and operational improvements.
Your responsibilities:
Lead compliance projects
Coordinate projects related to compliance, safety, and technical conformity
Design process flows and establish project governance
Set priorities, align stakeholders, and track implementation through KPI management and internal audits
Manage the compliance roadmap & governance
Develop and follow up on the annual Compliance Action Plan (JAP), in collaboration with the various S2O departments and Prevention
Define and monitor KPIs and track risks
Report to management with clear recommendations and next steps
Support the hierarchical line and operational teams
Ensure legal compliance in areas such as third-party work and installation safety
Create awareness through training, coaching, and sensitization initiatives
Translate regulations into operational reality
Interpret legislation related to well-being, safety, installations, works, and subcontractors
Identify compliance issues and risks
Work with experts to develop practical guidelines for technical teams, project managers, and leaders, ensuring that compliance is both workable and applicable
Engage stakeholders
Collaborate closely with prevention advisors, technical teams, project leads, and external partners
Act as a diplomat where needed — and as a challenger when required
