What will you do?

At bpost, you will play a key role in shaping how parcel flows are managed across Belgium’s leading out-of-home network.

bpost is market leader in parcel delivery through its BBOX locker network and manned PUDO points. Within this context, we are launching a state-of-the-art capacity management tool enabling dynamic parcel flow routing towards the optimal BBOX locker or PUDO point.

Our teams operate within a Product Capability Model, as one integrated tribe with multiple Agile squads combining business and IT expertise.

As Senior Product Owner, you will lead one of these squads and take end-to-end ownership of your product scope. You define priorities, steer delivery and drive alignment between business and IT.

You work closely with the OOH capacity and yield management teams, translating complex challenges into scalable, high-performing solutions.

This is a high-impact role for a senior profile who combines product vision, analytical strength and a strong delivery mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Steering

  • Own an end-to-end application product
  • Create and maintain a roadmap for the new capacity management tool
  • Drive prioritization, arbitration, and decision-making
  • Challenge requests and structure complex business needs
  • Ensure consistency between product vision and operational reality

Stakeholder Management

  • Interact with a wide range of stakeholders (Business, IT, B2B, X2C, etc.)
  • Demonstrate strong and autonomous influence, without hierarchical dependency
  • Find balanced compromises between requirements and feasibility

Process Excellence & Performance

  • Analyze and optimize end-to-end cross-functional processes
  • Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs
  • Identify high-impact improvement opportunities
  • Lead improvement plans

Data, Risk & Performance

  • Monitor process performance and deliverable quality
  • Identify and assess operational risks
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions

Strategy & Transformation

  • Contribute to product and process roadmaps
  • Participate in technology choices and business cases
  • Ensure alignment with overall IT architecture and corporate strategy

Functional Leadership

  • Structuring the Capacity management squad
  • Act as functional reference point for OOH capacity management
  • Direct hierarchical leadership over a small team but functional ownership of an entire agile squad

Who are you?

  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Ownership
  • Proven experience in Agile / Scrum environments
  • Experience in working with JIRA / Confluence / FIGMA / …
  • Strong skills in prioritization, arbitration, and decision-making
  • Ability to challenge and structure complex requests
  • Solid understanding of both IT and business challenges
  • Assertive, diplomatic, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong influencing skills combined with decision-making ability
  • Autonomous, mature, and results-driven
  • English is mandatory, plus either French or Dutch
