Design & Utilization - Senior Data Analyst

Your mission
The Out of Home (OOH) team within bpost is responsible for all manned and unmanned points within bpost, excluding post offices. This includes parcel points, postal points and parcel lockers. Currently bpost has around 2,500 parcel lockers and this network represents a key strategic pillar.
To support this growth, we are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in driving data initiatives, building dashboards, delivering actionable insights and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
Reporting
§ Take full ownership of end-to-end dashboard development: from data collection and transformation to data modelling and visualization (PowerBI), including building and maintaining Python scripts for data processing, simulation and optimization
§ Design, build and maintain robust data model to ensure scalable and business-ready reportings
§ Develop a deep understanding of system architecture and data dependencies across operational and IT environments
§ Act as a bridge between business and IT teams, translating business needs into technical/data requirements, and interact effectively with Central Data Team
Data analysis and profitability insights
§ Perform in-depth analyses on the usage of lockers, also focusing on how they contribute to profitability. You ensure clear, data-driven insights that improve capacity usage and operational performance in the long term
§ Prepare reports summarizing financial and operational performance, presenting key KPIs for Management
§ Monitor and analyze real-time data for lockers and manned points, with recommendations for adjustments and improvements
Data Modeling & Governance
§ Contribute to the definition and implementation of a structured and scalable data model for OOH activities
§ Identify data inconsistencies and actively participate in improving overall data quality
§ Define, implement and monitor data quality (DQ) rules in collaboration with IT and the Central Data Team
§ Clarify KPI definitions and ensure alignment between business and reporting logic
§ Support the progressive transition from manual Excel-based processes to more automated and reliable data solutions
Capacity forecasting and optimization
§ Collaborate with the team to make data-driven forecasts about capacity needs based on historical data, seasonal trends, and expected peak moments
§ Develop strategies for optimal use of lockers and manned points, focusing on balancing customer satisfaction and costs
Who are you?
§ University degree
§ Mandatory: advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerBi and Python
§ At least 5 years of relevant work experience in data analytics, business intelligence or any related analytical role
§ Excellent command of English, proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a plus
§ Strong affinity with capacity planning and demand forecasting techniques
§ Preferred: experience or strong affinity with Capacity Management/Yield Management
§ Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
§ Proactive attitude and great problem-solving abilities
§ Knowledge of data modeling principles
§ Experience in data quality management and governance practices
§ Ability to work in low-maturity data environments and structure data processes
