ICT Product Owner

To power this transformation, we’re strengthening our team with a driven and dynamic Product Owner. In this role, you'll partner closely with the business to define a compelling product vision and turn it into a prioritized, actionable backlog.

We're looking for a creative thinker with a pragmatic mindset—someone who can challenge convention and craft smart, effective solutions that make a real impact.

As Product Owner, your day will be made up of the following challenges:

·        Manage (planning, content, execution) the technological aspects of strategic projects

·        Coordinate and prioritize the backlog to maximize business value

·        Define the sprint planning together with the business and the scrum master

·        Represent the team for the project stakeholders

·        Work together with the agile team on a daily basis and you educate the agile team in the business domain

·        Negotiate the scope, the budget, the planning & the priorities

·        Facilitate the requirements modelling process

·        Clarify features and user stories with the business stakeholders and the development team with the help of the business analysts or the product managers

·        Ensure that the developed solution meets the defined needs with innovation as the main driver

·        Support ICT with the introduction of the solution including testing and training

·        Ensure delivery to business with the help of the corresponding teams

·        Identify recurring problems and you formulate proposals for solutions

·        Communicate and report in the progress of the project to management and stakeholders

·        Communicate effectively with technical colleagues (Development team), if not from a technical background

Your profile:  

·        We do not only deliver letters and parcels, but also opportunities. This job is open to all with diverse backgrounds and talents. In your role of Product Owner, you are a dynamic team player who combines creativity with pragmatism and communication skills. However, we would like to emphasize the following:

·        Master’s degree (IT, Engineering, Sciences/STEM) in a relevant field combined with a proven track record of 3 to 5 years (minimum) in a similar position.

·        Understand of ICT and affinity with the digital world.

·        Experience in working with Agile methodologies is a must, project management is a plus.

·        Business fluent English (frequent international contacts), and either Dutch or French additionally.

·        You have a "can do" mentality and you are not afraid to take initiatives.

·        You can work under pressure, with an eye for details and with tight deadlines.

·        A positive, open and loyal mindset. You do not think in terms of problems, but in terms of creative, flexible and quick solutions.
