Senior Process & Project Expert-OTC -Transformation
What will you do?
Ensure the implementation of new internal and external projects in order to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Service Line's processes and working procedures, based on areas of expertise.
Advise and support the manager in the execution of processes and problem-solving activities to ensure optimal support for the entire Service Line and the GSO.
A process or procedure is considered highly complex when at least four of the criteria listed below are clearly present:
· Very high operational risks resulting from the lack of automation of the processes to be managed
· Financial risks generated by the processes to be managed (cash-out, fraud, etc.)
· Accounting risks generated by the processes to be managed (impact on figures reported externally by a listed company)
· Reputational risks generated by the processes to be managed
· Processes involving multiple stakeholders
Main Responsibilities
· Analyze highly complex end-to-end processes within areas of expertise and responsibility, formulate conceptual improvement proposals, and enhance related procedures. Develop and implement procedural changes and monitor the quality of their execution to ensure optimal support for the Service Line and the business.
· Supervise and support the management of files and cases within areas of expertise to ensure compliance with contractual and legal documentation requirements and to meet business needs.
· Develop a general framework for control procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data.
· Independently coordinate the implementation of internal, external, and cross-functional improvement projects within the Service Line (e.g., new products) to increase the efficiency of the Service Line and the GSO.
· Monitor laws and regulations and ensure their correct implementation within areas of expertise, in compliance with applicable quality standards and legislation.
· Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by advising on the implementation, management, and improvement of tools and approximately ten internal and external IT applications used by bpost (e.g., Interbank Exchange and Clearing Centre, National Bank of Belgium, foreign banking partners, etc.), ensuring that the Service Line benefits from adequate and efficient systems.
· Identify new opportunities within areas of expertise based on internal and external trends and changes affecting the Service Line and/or GSO, and propose innovative improvements to Service Line processes and procedures, potentially impacting other departments within bpost.
· Facilitate and coordinate internal communication across the various bpost departments, as well as external communication within areas of expertise, to ensure transparent and consistent communication flows.
Who are you?
- You hold a Master's degree with a specialization in Finance (Accounting);
- You have at least 4 to 5 years of accounting experience in a complex organization;
- You have an in-depth knowledge of the legislation and regulations applicable to your area of expertise;
- You possess extensive knowledge in several areas, including accounting (BGAAP), financial applications, ERP systems, and related software;
- You have a basic knowledge of IAS/IFRS standards;
- You have an excellent command of Oracle Cloud and Excel;
- You are curious and eager to quickly understand complex financial and administrative processes;
- To communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, you are fluent in English and have a good command of Dutch and/or French, with a good understanding of the second national language;
- You continuously seek opportunities to optimize processes, procedures, and regulations impacting the team, and you coordinate the implementation of these improvements;
- You continuously optimize tools and IT applications to ensure that the team benefits from efficient and high-performing systems.
