Transport Manager Gent X
What will you do?
As a Transport Manager, you will play a key role in setting up and optimizing transport planning while managing resources efficiently. You will also contribute to the improvement of national logistics activities, focusing on quality and efficiency.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the transport plan while ensuring compliance with budget and quality objectives.
- Anticipate volume peaks and adjust planning proactively.
- Lead the regional Transport cell and coordinate network optimization.
- Manage a team of 200 employees, coaching managers and team leaders for optimal performance.
- Foster motivation and excellence among teams through strong communication and leadership.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key KPIs, adapting strategies for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with fellow managers to enhance national logistics processes.
Who are you?
- A Master’s degree and at least 5-10 years of experience in a similar logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes and transport networks, both national and international.
- Experience in managing union representations and large teams.
- Excellent analytical skills to develop and implement action plans.
- Proficiency in MS Office and planning tools.
- Fluent in Dutch with good knowledge of English and French.
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of a 24/7 logistics operation.
