We're now looking for a senior corporate tax analyst to join the bpostgroup tax team at the Brussels headquarters.
Within the Group Tax department (HQ) we are offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of our tax processes. Closely collaborating with your colleagues of the tax team and other departments, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with corporate tax obligations both locally and internationally.
We are looking for a Senior Corporate Tax Specialist with at least five years of relevant experience in an in-house or advisory role. You will be involved in a wide range of areas including international tax compliance and reporting, transfer pricing, R&D tax incentives, tax technology implementation and Pillar 2 compliance.
Your mission:
As a Senior Corporate Tax Specialist, you’ll step into a broad and impactful role at the heart of our Group Tax department. You'll be involved in various areas of corporate taxation, with a particular focus on the following strategic priorities:
1) Drive innovation through tax incentives
- Management of tax incentives such as R&D tax credit, innovation income deduction and investment deduction.
- You'll analyze legal frameworks, collaborate with advisors and authorities, and coordinate with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, management) to ensure accurate and effective implementation.
2) Deliver global tax expertise
- Provide strategic tax support for our Belgian headquarters and international subsidiaries across Europe, North America, and APAC—helping ensure compliance, manage risk, and add value across the board
3) Support tax compliance and reporting
- Be a key player in the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns, withholding tax filings, tax provisioning, and other compliance matters for the group entities.
- Assist with the overall management and review of the group tax reporting.
4) Shape transfer pricing policies and documentation
- Assist with the further roll-out of transfer pricing documentation worldwide and the development of transfer pricing policies tailored to the specific commercial needs.
5) Support Pillar 2 Implementation
- Assist in the implementation and follow-up of Pillar 2 requirements by providing tax input, reviewing data, managing the calculations and ensuring alignment with evolving regulations. You'll work in close collaboration with the accounting and consolidation teams to help ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
6) Empower local teams
- Act as a knowledge partner to local finance teams, developing clear documentation, processes, and training materials to build tax awareness and operational excellence across regions.
7) Transform tax through technology
- Help drive the optimization and implementation of tax technologies, overseeing tax data management and contributing to the evolution of our system landscape.
Your profile:
We do not only deliver letters and parcels, but also opportunities. This job is open to all with diverse backgrounds and talents, possessing the following skills:
- You have a contagious passion for tax and your master's degree in law and/or economics, and a special degree in tax proves this;
- You have minimum 5 experience in international corporate tax within a consulting firm or multinational;
- You are a fast learner, flexible, solution-oriented, and like to take on new challenges.;
- Your analytical approach enables you to understand the systems (Oracle EPM) and processes and dive deep into the details, but you also need to keep the overview and the hands-on approach to make your conclusions very comprehensible;
- You have a hands-on and problem solving mentality and you like to work with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility;
- You have excellent project management skills;
- You enjoy experimenting with new technologies, process design as well as data management;
- You are fluent in either Dutch or French, and have a strong command of English—both written and spoken.
