Information Technology Security Officer (ITSO)

Your mission:
In this role, you will be a pivotal technical authority within the Information Security department, working alongside our Chief Information Security Officer to fortify bpost's security posture. Your primary responsibilities will include:
· Translating strategic security goals into actionable technical plans.
- Overseeing the daily operations of our Security Operations Center (SOC) and ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Conducting regular security audits, technical risk assessments, and incident response processes.
- Leading and collaborating on cybersecurity projects across multiple departments.
- Advising on and implementing advanced security tools, policies, and technical controls to mitigate risk.
Your profile:
We do not only deliver letters and parcels, but also opportunities. This job is open to all with diverse backgrounds and talents, possessing the following skills:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in security architecture, network security, incident response, and risk management.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Certifications like CISM, CISSP, or CEH are a plus).
- Strong expertise in security frameworks (e.g., NIS2, DORA, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and knowledge of security technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, IAM/PAM).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Dutch or French and English.
