Within the Group controlling department (HQ) we have the unique opportunity to understand the Group's business and financial processes. If you have the will to immerse yourself in corporate reporting, budgeting and analysis and centralized payroll and capex control for one of the biggest Belgian companies with headquarters in Belgium and international operations you might just as well be the perfect candidate.
Your mission:
Corporate Controlling support: Together with the Corporate Controller for bpost Group, you coordinate and prepare monthly reporting of financial results to CEO/CFO as well as presentations to the Board during budget or forecast periods. In this role you will have frequent contact with Finance Business partners within bpost Group. This role also includes communication to IT for business requirements for maintenance / updates of Oracle EPM and suggestions for improvement.
Centralized Payroll Control: You are the subject matter expert for central payroll budgeting, forecasting and reporting at Group level, including reporting on FTE and interim management costs. In this role you are working closely together with the Accounting & Financial Control team to understand actual results to be able to develop a realistic forecast and budget.
Capex reporting & control: As capex controller you keep the overview of capital expenditures including preparation of the capex report by value stream on monthly and quarterly basis, as information for our CEO, CFO and Board.
Project Management: You are actively involved in different improvement projects related to the financial planning cycle of bpostgroup and in design of new reports to improve steering information for bpostgroup management.
Your profile:

- You hold a Master’s degree in finance and minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in financial positions;
- Extensive knowledge of accounting and extensive expertise in controlling;
- You are a fast learner, flexible, solution-oriented, and like to take on new challenges.
- You like to have impact: in this position you have a high exposure to internal (C-level) stakeholders. This position requires good communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- You are able to challenge with respect and convince with fact-based arguments.
- Your analytical approach enables you to understand the systems and processes and dive deep into the details, but you also need to keep the overview and the hands-on approach to make your conclusions very comprehensible.
- Excel and PowerPoint have no secrets for you. You like working with the business planning systems. Experience in working with Oracle EPM (Hyperion Planning & Essbase), knowledge of Power BI is a big advantage.
- Very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of French and Dutch.
