Network & Security Domain Manager

Your mission:

The Network & Security Domain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network and security infrastructure. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in network and security management. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity, reliability, and security of our network systems while leading a team of professionals to achieve operational excellence. You will be responsible for:

·        Develop and implement the network and security strategy in alignment with the organization's goals.

·        Lead and manage the Network & Security team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.

·        Collaborate with senior management to ensure security policies and procedures align with CISO Governance

·        Oversee the design, deployment, and management of network physical and virtual infrastructure in all bpost remote sites, central datacenters as well as cloud, including but not limited to LAN (router, switch, firewall, proxy, load balancer,...) , WAN, VPN, wireless networks and future/emerging technologies

·        Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of network systems.

·        Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

·        Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect the organization's data and network based on best practices and CISO governance

·        Manage and monitor security systems including, but not exhaustive, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) etc ...

·        Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.

·        Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, mitigation, and reporting of security breaches.

·        Develop and maintain incident response plans and ensure team readiness for potential security incidents.

·        Manage relationships with network and security vendors, ensuring the best value and service.

·        Work with internal stakeholders to understand network and security needs and provide appropriate solutions.

·        Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA etc.

·        Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, security policies, and procedures.

Your profile:

We do not only deliver letters and parcels, but also opportunities. This job is open to all with diverse backgrounds and talents, possessing the following skills:  

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

·        Minimum of 10 years of experience in network and security management roles.

·        Strong knowledge of network infrastructure technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) and security solutions (e.g., firewalls Palo Alto, IDS/IPS, VPNs).

·        Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.

·        Proven experience in managing a technical team and leading projects.

·        Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

·        Experience with cloud network and security management (e.g., AWS, Azure).

·        Knowledge of scripting and automation tools is a plus

·        Experience in cloud solutions architecture, AWS and/or Azure, and project management.

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct presentations and training.

·        Open-mindedness and a collaborative approach, capable of engaging with various stakeholders.

·        Leadership qualities to gain trust and respect from the team and other departments.

·        Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex cloud financial data and make strategic recommendations.

·        Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
