IBO offers a range of individual occupational training courses. That means you can count on our personal support from day one. Every part of the job is clearly explained, with special attention for aspects you may find more challenging. As a result, you will know the job inside out within just a few weeks.

The best part? When you complete the course, bpost will offer you a contract! While you take the course you will continue to receive your benefit, along with a special IBO payment.

You are eligible for an IBO course if you tick these boxes:

• You are registered at the VDAB as a jobseeker
• You have never worked at bpost in any other capacity than job student or temp (no more than 20 days)
• You are 18 or over
• You want to learn and are willing to follow the training programme
• You are able to make yourself understood in Dutch Still a bit unsure? No need to worry: we will provide extra language coaching.

More conditions may apply depending on the job you are training for.

IBO training is available for these positions:

• Post delivery staff
• Truck driver
• Commercial counter staff

IBO post delivery staff training

In this course you will learn all the duties of a member of the delivery staff. These include dropping off letters and parcels, road safety when driving a car or van and riding a bike, and keeping documents. You will be considered for a bpost contract after 8 weeks.

A ‘B’ driving licence is an entry requirement for this course.

IBO truck driver training

Is driving a truck for bpost your dream job but you don’t have the right licence? We have the ideal training for you. You will receive all the practical lessons from our driving instructors before taking your test. First for your C licence, then for your CE licence. You need to be aware that this is a demanding course. But with the right motivation and dedication, you too can land your dream job.

A ‘B’ driving licence and successful completion of the ‘C’ licence theory exam are entry requirements for this course.

IBO commercial counter staff training

Do you have a way with words? Like to be the face of your local bpost post office? In this IBO training you will learn the ins and outs of the various duties of our counter staff. You will receive on-the-job training from our experienced colleagues along with some private study online and class lessons. bpost will offer you a contract after 8 weeks.

A certificate of secondary education is an entry requirement for this course.
