bpost is market leader in parcel delivery through its BBOX locker network and manned PUDO points. All product developments for this Out-of-Home (OOH) division are driven by the Solutions team.

To strengthen this team, we are looking for a strong Project Manager.

In this role, you will lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across the BBOX ecosystem. You will operate beyond team boundaries, coordinating internally within the Solutions team as well as with business, IT and external stakeholders.

This is a role for someone with strong, hands-on project management expertise. You will take full ownership from defining and aligning scope and budgets, to building and driving the project plan, ensuring execution, and delivering a professional handover upon completion.

You are expected to bring structure, challenge assumptions, and ensure delivery in complex environments where multiple stakeholders and dependencies are involved.

This role is ideal for someone who combines rigorous project discipline with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results end-to-end.

Main responsibilities

Define project scope, budget and objectives

• Clearly define project scope, timing and budget
• Align stakeholders on objectives and expected deliverables
• Define success criteria and tracking KPIs
• Manage scope changes (change management)

Structure business needs and prioritize deliverables

• Consolidate requirements from various stakeholders
• Analyze and challenge requests
• Prioritize based on business value and project constraints
• Build a clear view of releases and dependencies

Build and manage planning, milestones, and releases

• Define both high-level and detailed project plans
• Identify key milestones and control points
• Ensure alignment between scope, planning, and resources

Coordinate teams and ensure operational follow-up

• Orchestrate business and IT contributors
• Track actions and dependencies
• Remove blockers and facilitate decision-making
• Ensure smooth execution across teams

Manage risks, dependencies, and project KPIs

• Identify and anticipate project risks
• Implement mitigation plans
• Track project performance indicators
• Escalate critical issues when necessary

Ensure deadlines, budget, and quality standards are met

• Monitor budget consumption and resource usage
• Ensure deliverables meet defined quality standards
• Oversee output quality throughout the project lifecycle
• Guarantee on-time delivery

Ensure smooth stakeholder communication

• Organize project meetings and steering committees
• Adapt communication to different audiences
• Build alignment and buy-in around key decisions
• Manage expectations and potential conflicts of interest

Deliver projects and ensure smooth handover to Product Owners

• Deliver final outputs and associated documentation
• Structure handover to Product Owners
• Capture lessons learned and feedback
• Formally close projects

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management
• Strong command of project management principles (scope, planning, budget, risks, delivery)
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Results-driven and problem-solving mindset
• Clear communication, assertiveness, and collaborative spirit
• Strong business understanding with an IT affinity
• Experience in complex and dynamic environments
• English is mandatory; French or Dutch is required
