What will you do?
Bnode is Belgium’s leading postal and logistics operator and a growing parcel & omni-commerce logistics partner in Europe, North America, and Asia. Our ambition is to become a regional and digital expert in parcel-sized logistics by 2029. Under the leadership of our Group CEO, Chris Peeters, and the Executive Committee, Bnode has launched an ambitious company-wide transformation program: #Reshape2029.
The Group Strategy & Transformation Office, led by Willem Vanlaer, plays a central role in this strategic transformation. Positioned at the heart of the organisation, it supports the Executive Committee in tackling key strategic questions and driving the group’s most critical transformation initiatives.
We are strengthening this team with experienced professionals who will work on high-impact topics that directly shape the group’s strategic direction and performance.
Your Mission
As a Transformation Expert within the Group Strategy & Transformation Office, you will work on high-impact initiatives that cut across business units and corporate functions. These may include:
- Growth strategy, market entry, and competitive positioning
- Corporate strategy and business model evolution
- Strategic partnerships, ecosystem strategy, and M&A assessments
- Post-merger integration, synergy identification, and value capture
- Target operating model design and organisational effectiveness
- Portfolio strategy, investment prioritisation, and resource allocation
- Performance transformation and structural cost optimisation
- Digital transformation initiatives
You will lead a rotating set of the group’s most pressing strategic and transformation topics, in close interaction with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shape and drive group-level strategic priorities
- Structure complex, ambiguous strategic questions into clear problem statements;
- Develop clear, decision-oriented convictions, assessing options and associated trade-offs;
- Lead end-to-end workstreams, from analysis to implementation follow-up;
- Translate strategic choices into actionable roadmaps;
- Challenge assumptions and elevate the quality of decision-making.
2. Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership
- Work in close interaction with senior leadership on their highest priority topics;
- Prepare, refine and present materials for Executive Committee and Board discussions;
- Provide an independent, fact-based perspective in high-stakes decision contexts;
- Contribute to clarity and strategic alignment where perspectives or priorities diverge.
3. Enable cross-organisational impact
- Align senior stakeholders across departments and business units around shared priorities;
- Help ensure that strategic direction translates into tangible actions and outcomes;
- Identify structural issues or inconsistencies that may affect execution or value realization;
- Get all stakeholders on board – from senior leaders to workforce on the field – with the right and effective stakeholder engagement.
4. Take the lead in setting-up strategic initiative programs
- Establish a comprehensive program plan based on the program vision, scope and success metrics;
- Orchestrate execution across multiple workstreams and manage interdependencies;
- Anticipate risks and ensure mitigation and benefits realisation;
- Lead stakeholder alignment and manage expectations across the organization.
5. Elevate strategy & transformation capabilities across the organisation
- Serve as a role model for structured thinking, ownership and delivery discipline across the broader organization;
- Support internal teams in structuring complex business questions, developing clear storylines and producing concise, decision‑oriented management materials;
- Build credibility as a reliable project team member by demonstrating analytical rigor, ownership of workstreams and strong delivery discipline, contributing to a culture of structured thinking across the organisation.
Who are you?
You combine strong strategic thinking with sound judgement and a pragmatic, execution-oriented mindset. You are comfortable operating in situations characterized by complexity, ambiguity, and senior stakeholder interaction.
You bring:
- A Master’s degree
- 3-5 years work experience, with at least 3 years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or high-impact strategic roles within complex organizations
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to frame issues in line with broader strategic direction of the Group
- The ability to translate strategic choices into a clear, structured game plan with defined milestones and value levers
- A strong ‘can-do’ mentality and ownership mindset
- Sharp judgement and quick thinking in senior-level discussions
- The ability to build credibility and align stakeholders at C-level and across business units
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Fluency in Dutch, French and English
