In this context, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager Energy to manage and monitor various projects in line with the objectives of the Energy & Environment department within Service Operations, such as the management of energy supply, development projects aimed at reducing bpost's consumption, participation in the project to develop the fleet of electric vehicles, the development of expertise in new technologies for better energy management, etc.

Your mission

Energy supply

  • Exploring the diversification of energy supplies in line with bpost's strategy (PPA, Energy Communities, etc.);
  • Monitor renewable energy deployment projects (solar panels, wind turbines, etc.);
  • Managing requests from colleagues in other departments concerning energy supply (meter management, supply management, etc.);
  • Helping to draw up specifications for photovoltaic panel projects;

Energy efficiency

  • Monitoring investment projects aimed at reducing energy consumption (relighting, HVAC) in collaboration with colleagues in other departments (Real Estate, Facility Management, etc.);
  • Participating in the management of awareness campaigns for colleagues in other Business Units;
  • Passing on to the field the actions to be implemented following these campaigns (rational use of energy, working temperature, door management, etc.);
  • Carrying out and monitoring rapid audits and more in-depth energy audits;

 CSR policy

  • Report energy data for the annual CSR report;
  • Participate in CSR meetings and act as the department's representative;

 Development of the electric vehicle fleet

  • Act as representative of the Energy & Environment department;
  • Ensure that the project takes into account the reporting and operational coordination needs of the department;

Consumption monitoring, reporting and inventory

  • Manage and develop the existing remote monitoring system;
  • Coordinate the implementation of smart meters deployed by the DSOs;
  • Manage and develop the various reports (top 80, monthly report for the 5 sorting centres, energy dashboard, etc.);
  • Updating the inventory of sites equipped with solar panels and integrating them into our Archibus database;
  • Integrate the existing inventory of electric vehicles and deployment forecasts into our Archibus database;

Legal requirements

  • PLAGE coordination (local action plan for energy management);
  • Monitoring and coordination of EPB certificates in the 3 regions;
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in terms of legal requirements that may apply to bpost;

Your profile

It goes without saying that as Senior Project Manager you are the central point between the various stakeholders. You play the role of coordinator and have an overview of the various project phases. We'd also like to highlight a few other points:

  • You have a Master's degree or equivalent through experience;
  • You have an excellent command of French or Dutch with a good knowledge of English.
  • You have at least 5 years' experience in project management in the energy sector;
  • Good knowledge of buildings and construction techniques, particularly energy efficiency (ISO 14001, HVAC installations, LEDs, etc.);
  • Previous experience in carrying out energy audits and implementing actions;
  • Experience in public procurement would be an asset;
  • You have a good analytical mind, enabling you to analyse data relating to energy consumption;
  • You also have good interpersonal skills, enabling you to communicate with the business and the various internal departments;
  • You have the perseverance to get things done and to understand the problems, you are results-oriented and customer-oriented;
  • You have a driving licence;
