Senior Group Business Controller

Your mission:

The Senior Group Business Controller is responsible for the performance management activities and commitment/investment decisions of a high complexity business unit (BU), in this case either the last mile activity or the 3PL Europe activity. She/he will challenge and advise the bpost Group Controlling Director, bpost Group CFO and the bpost Group CEO to reach the bpost financial and strategic objectives:

Is responsible for understanding, reviewing and challenging: monthly financial results of the business unit, budget of the business unit, quarterly forecasts of the business unit and LTP (long-term plan, financial view on 5 years) of the business unit
Is responsible for the analysis and challenging of the Group commitment files for the BU under his/her responsibility
Provides Director Business controlling, Group CFO and the bpost Group CEO and other executives with ad hoc analysis and feedback on various financial topics linked to the BU under his/her responsibility

Your profile:

You hold a Master’s degree in finance and minimum 10 years of relevant experience in financial or business positions;
You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English;
Knowledge of accounting and extensive expertise in controlling;
You are enterprising, you take initiative and you are a real problem solver;
You have a strong sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills;
Experience in people management is a plus;
This position requires good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with different finance teams, build relationships with stakeholders across the business and the management;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
Stress resistant, flexible, agile & trustworthy.
