Business Development Manager - Indirect Sales
What will you do?
As the
Account Manager, we will play a pivotal role in nurturing the existing
partnerships, driving revenue growth, and strategically bringing it to the next
level. Our clients are either partners,
clients or even competitors. The team is working within an ethical & a firewall in order to protect our
clients and to follow the sharpest competition law possible.
Our clients resell our products and are key advocates of bpost services, you
will play a significant role in enlarging the framework, bringing perspectives
and developing new complementary opportunities with them.
Responsibilities:
Strategic management:
Oversee and nurture relationships with existing key partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and value delivery.
Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, market share, and growth opportunities within each partnership.
Actively contributing to the overall strategy of the Indirect Sales team
Be the safeguard of regulatory measure and ensure high compliancy of our clients work
Get a top-notch knowledge about our portfolio to co-create strategy with key clients
Financial management:
Manage end to end portfolio, making sure that our clients bring the appropriate level of value in line with their role in the portfolio.
Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to track and optimize partnership ROI.
Cross-functional collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and finance, to align partner strategies with overall company goals.
Act as a liaison between partners and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and execution of partnership initiatives.
Contract negotiation and compliance:
Lead negotiations for renewals and contract amendments, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with business objectives.
Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, working closely with legal and compliance teams.
Market
and Competitive Analysis:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
Utilize market insights to inform strategic decisions and improve the competitiveness of our partnerships.
Team leadership and development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cross-organizational team to support the partnerships, based on a servant leadership style.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
Serve as the company's representative at events, embodying and upholding the company's values.
Who are you?
Fluent in FR/NL, English is an asset.
Proven experience in key account management and complex negotiations.
Strong relationship-building skills: establish lasting connections with corporate and SME clients, including resellers and consolidators.
Analytical mindset and proactive approach: identify high-margin opportunities, understand the full value chain.
Commercial focus: 90% farming, 10% hunting.
Knowledge of sectors: logistics, mailing, e-commerce, printing and 3PL solutions.
Resilience and autonomy: self-driven, able to handle adversity and adapt to ambiguity.
Organized and detail-oriented: comfortable with administrative and legal aspects.
Soft skills:
Commercial leadership, curiosity, ability to learn quickly (on-the-job learning).
Enjoy complexity and diversity of clients.
Ambition and “alpha” mindset to perform in a strategic role.
