What will you do?
Compliance Manager (Service Operations)
The Compliance Manager provides support to the Service Operations leadership and ensures compliance with all legal obligations, mainly related to workplace safety and well‑being, as well as technical and regulatory requirements for buildings, installations, and works executed by bpost or external partners.
Main Responsibilities
- • Provide support to the hierarchical line to ensure legal compliance in various areas: obligations related to work performed by third parties, installation safety, etc.
• In collaboration with the Prevention department, monitor and interpret legislation (well‑being, prevention, regional/national/European legislation).
• Translate legal obligations into operational requirements for Service 2 Operations, notably for the hierarchical line, technical teams and project managers, in collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Draft and follow up on an annual Compliance Action Plan (JAP) in collaboration with the various S2O departments and the Prevention service.
• Report to S2O management on the department’s level of compliance and formulate recommendations where needed.
• Follow up on projects: analyse the regulatory impact of new projects, formulate recommendations together with subject matter experts, monitor compliance, and conduct internal audits.
• Work closely with the Prevention service (prevention advisors) while maintaining a focus on “Service Operations.”
• Train and raise awareness among employees (hierarchical line, project managers, technicians).
• Work collaboratively and diplomatically, while remaining firm when the law requires it.

Who are you?
1. Technical & Legal Skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong knowledge or affinity with:
- workplace well‑being / safety regulations;
- legal requirements for installations, inspections, works, subcontractors.
- Experience or knowledge as a prevention advisor (level 1 or 2) is a strong plus.
- Ability to interpret legislation and apply it to concrete situations.
2. Behavioural Skills
- Excellent pedagogical and diplomatic communication .
- Proactive, rigorous, structured, autonomous.
- Comfortable working with various profiles (field, technical, management, external partners).
3. Language Skills
- Excellent command of FR and NL (mandatory).
- English is an asset.
4. Other Criteria
- Ability to deliver training sessions.
- Able to follow technically oriented projects without being an engineer.
- Some field visits required.
