What will you do?

  • You are responsible for building the performance of Logistics Platforms Distribution. This includes conceptually determining how to approach this, defining the necessary KPIs at various levels, both nationally and at platform level, as well as within different domains such as efficiency, costs, quality, customer delivery, and employee satisfaction. You also set up the effective implementation and determine the follow-up. You organize performance reviews with the operational sites, addressed to the Director Logistics Platform Distribution.
  • You have an active and results-oriented contribution to the monitoring and achievement of the various KPIs within Logistics Platform Distribution. This also means conducting root cause analyses (including site visits), translating these into various initiatives and projects in collaboration with the rest of the department, and following them up.
  • You act as a point of contact, together with the colleague who reports to you, for all performance-related questions within the domain of Logistics Platforms Distribution.
  • You manage and develop your employee in their daily activities.
  • You proactively ensure that the Logistics Platform Distribution team has the necessary data available to ensure efficient operations and to make the right decisions. For this, you are in contact with the national IT and Performance teams to obtain the necessary data and reports; you also work with this data yourself to improve the tools and dashboards for the director and the district managers.
  • You are responsible for preparing and analyzing budgets (Payroll, SG&A, etc.), quarterly forecasts, and the Long Term Plan for Logistics Platforms Distribution. For this, you work together with the Finance, Supply Chain teams, as well as with the subsidiaries that work with the platforms.
  • You support the development and approval of business cases for local improvement projects.
  • You help and ensure that the volume forecasts are translated daily into an optimized planning by the operational team. You challenge this planning and also ensure that it is filled in as efficiently as possible, with the most suitable resources (bpost employees, temporary workers, freelance drivers, ...), to ensure that the activities are carried out correctly every day. You analyze the weekly deviations in the forecast and their impact on this planning. For this, you work together with the HR/Manpower and Supply Chain teams.

Who are you?

  • You have a master's degree or equivalent through experience.
  • You have at least 8 years of experience in performance management (operational and financial), preferably in a production or logistics environment.
  • You have solid financial knowledge and experience in controlling activities.
  • You have a strong understanding of operational processes within the logistics sector and enjoy actively thinking about how these processes can be improved.
  • You have a dynamic and positive attitude.
  • You are data-driven and have an affinity for developing reports and data analysis (including in PowerBI). Experience with SQL is an additional asset.
  • Fluent communication in French, Dutch, and English.
