The primary objective is Customs Clearance and Trade Consultancy for all European and Asian Countries allowing Landmark Global to Customs Clear own freight, as well as manage Customs Brokerage Vendors whom we subcontract to handle Customs Clearances. This role affects all of our International Freight movements and is critical to seamless flow of Shipments in and out of the European Union and Asia.
Main tasks:
Manage Customs Clearance Teams and vendors in the main European and Asian Countries and the EU Trade Consultancy Team.
Custom Clearance:
Provide Customs Clearance Services (Import, Export and Transit) in all modes of Transport into
Europe and Asia:
- Manage the LTS clearance teams in Europe
- Manage vendors in Europa and Asia
- Global expert in postal customs procedures
- Stay abreast of the customs and tax legislation in the European and Asian countries
- Ensure customs compliance in Europe and Asia and inform relevant parties (internal departments plus customers)
- Assist sales on customer visits (present possible solutions or optimizations).
- Create new customs products with the PPM team
- Provide specific Customs Services such as Refunds, Amends and Drawbacks.
- Assist our Customers with Classification Rulings and other Harmonization Services.
- Work with Other Government Agencies in Europe and Asia to obtain any required permits or licenses to import regulated products.
- Financial responsibility for the correct customs transactions in Europe and Asia
Trade Consulting:
Provide Consulting Services for Clients:
- Assist in looking to set up a Business Entity in the EU and act as the Importer of Record for their Customs Clearances.
- Assist with Fiscal Representation for Clients monthly VAT Returns in various EU Countries.
- Work with Clients to have their products registered in each EU Country from a labeling and formulation standpoint.
- Provide Customs Consulting Services to Clients to ensure they are importing their products legally and at the lowest cost model possible.
Who are you?
• Master degree or equal by experience
• Min. of 10 years of relevant experience (Customs Brokerage)
• Knowledge of EU Customs Laws & Legislation is a plus
• Customs Brokerage License is a plus
• Deep fluent in french/Dutch/English
• You are customer-oriented
• You are a Guide: you define ambitious objectives and give direction
• You are a Rolemodel : you are accountable and take initiative
• You are a Developper: you develop to improve performance
• Conceptualising
• Managing
• Providing support
